Flower Experiment

This is an easy, fun experiment for primary school aged children. Place water with a few drops of food colouring into a glass.

Find some flowers in the garden, flowers with visible veins work the best. Place these in the glass of coloured water and leave for a few hours or even a few days. Watch as the flower will change colour. My kids were amazed with this experiment.

It is difficult to show the results in the picture, but try it and see for yourself. You know how much kids love picking flowers from the garden :)
