My Troubling Dream

My 11 year old son had to write a poem for school and I thought it was very creative. He gave me permission to share it with everyone, so here it is:

Preparing for a Holiday to The Gold Coast

There is now less than 3 weeks before I go jet-setting to the gorgeous Gold Coast with my friend Lisa from No Excuses! As you can imagine a lot of preparation has already gone into this trip,   I don't want to get there and worry about what I will be doing while I am there.

How Useful Could a Cucumber Be?

Not realising it but every time I use a cucumber in my salad or on a sandwich I was actually getting more than I bargained for. Who knew that the funny looking vegetable could be so handy around the home?

Washing Machine Blues

They are one of the most used appliances in the house, especially when you have 7 children. It is an item that when you purchase it you want it to last forever so that you do not have to buy another one again. Or have it break down and your left with piles of washing waiting for it to be repaired, or when you can purchase a new one to replace it.

How to keep Your Chilli Plant Alive

This is my chilli plant. It is probably the only plant that I have purchased that has managed to stay alive in my care for more than 3 weeks.

It is not that I don't like gardening, but more that I forget to water the plants.  I have been really determined to keep this plant alive as it will be so useful in my household where my husband and kids love hot, spicy food.

Lost or Stolen, Right Before Our Eyes?

Doing my weekly grocery shopping, I think I may have been witness to a crime but just didn't realise it.
Walking down the drinks and snacks aisle (not one of my favourite aisles because I always buy stuff I don't really need).

Happy Bath Day!

So what does one do on Valentines Day when the kids are looked after, the house is in order and taken care of, I have a couple of hours before the kinder/school run and all I have to think about is preparing dinner?
