Taught to me by my mother in-law, this recipe is absolutely delicious and perfect for any party or celebration. They tend to disappear faster than they are served, and they go perfectly with some sweet chilly dipping sauce.

Kebacadatjes

This is a Dutch delicacy that my mum would make, just like her mum did. Every Christmas as a part of our celebration feast the little bacon wrapped sausage/meatball would be the first to be devoured. It would not have been Christmas without them and now I am going to share this special recipe with you so you can enjoy the flavour of Europe also. ANZAC Biscuits

This is a family favourite! I love baking the good ol' ANZAC biscuit as the recipe is so quick and easy. They are a great lunch box extra and great for when friends drop around. The Anzac biscuit can also be frozen and thawed when needed.

Home Made Sausage Rolls

Sausage rolls have always been a favourite party favour from the simple children's birthday party to speciality appetisers at more sophisticated events. 

I had some sausage mince and thought I would throw some ingredients together to make these delicious sausage rolls. I made a few different variations too. So if you feel game give them a try, they are fairly simple to make and a great recipe for the kids to make.

Pizza Base Ingredients:

1 cup warm water

1 tablespoon compressed yeast or 1 pkt dehydrated yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

Banana Cake

When I have a bunch of over ripened bananas I always bake this easy but yummy and moist Banana Cake. It is a great way of using up the ripened bananas that no one will eat and it tastes so good you just can't stop at one piece.

Easy Herb Bread

Ingredients:


125grm butter
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon mixed herbs (marjoram, thyme, rosemary, sage)
Turkish bread or bread stick

Cucumber Yoghurt Dip

A great dip to have along side a hot n' spicy meal, to cool the tongue. Or just used as a dip with pita bread.

Blackberry Clafoutis

Clafoutis can be made with different berries but i usually make it with blackberries as we have a lot of blackberry bushes nearby. This also tastes delicious with blueberries, but you can experiment with other berries like cherries.

Easy Chicken and Vegetable Curry Puffs

Ingredients

Pre heat oven to 180 degrees Celcius

Olive Oil

500 grms Chicken breast diced

1 can coconut cream

2 tablespoons curry powder

1 tspn chicken stock

1 cup water

1 cup mixed frozen vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)

6 sheets puff pastry approx.

500grm chicken, cubed

250grm bacon, chopped

1 onion, chopped

1 egg, whisked

4 large mushrooms, sliced

300ml cream
1 glass white wine
1 heaped tspn garlic
1 cup grated cheese
1 packet fettuccine pasta

Tomato Noodles

I absolutely love this recipe and so do my kids, there are never any leftovers and it is so easy to make. Great for a Friday night when I have a party on, I can throw it in the oven, kiss hubby goodbye and he can take care of the rest! oh and not much clean up either!
